A little bit about Andy
Andy is an actor, playwright and visionary who is currently in his second year as a graduate student at the University of Central Florida. While there, he has performed in four main stage productions: Russ/Dan in Clybourne Park, Clive/Cathy in Cloud 9, Eilert Loveborg in Hedda Gabler, and Oliver Davenport in Pentecost.
Before his graduate studies, Andy worked professionally in regional theatres around the Salt Lake City area. Some of his favorite roles include Ali Hakim in Oklahoma!, Sancho Pansa in Man of La Mancha, Joel Goldman in Beau Jest, and Jeff Douglas in Brigadoon.
Andy also enjoys working on his family farm, where he is part owner of the Brickyard Seed Company. He is also a proud uncle of seven nieces, and nine nephews. Andy enjoys working on his unpublished steampunk novel, painting in various styles, baking complicated desserts (and the best chocolate chip cookies you’ve ever had), and playing board games (Phase 10 brings people together). He also enjoys reading, movies, dancing, travel, puzzles, Zelda, cards, and dogs.
He is a member of the Grassroots Shakespeare Company, as well as certified in the Society of American Fight Directors. His certifications include broadsword and shield, rapier and dagger, and recommendations in knife, single sword, and quarterstaff. He also has served as a teaching assistant, as well as an instructor at the University of Central Florida.
